Youth Business Russia joins the events of the 64th International Congress of AIESEC (Association internationale des étudiants en sciences économiques et commerciales)

Tkachenko presented the Programme experience and conducted a session at the 64th International AIESEC Congress which was held in Moscow from August 17 to 26, 2012. IBLF was an expert partner of the Global Youth Voice Conference, held within the framework of this International event. 

AIESEC projects in Russia provide a unique opportunity of interrelationship between business and young professionals. The AIESEC event was focused at the top talent audience from 110 universities of 30 Russian cities, having attracted prominent business leaders to participate in developing youth initiatives.

The annual international congress held by this social association is a major event aimed at development and enhancing of youth cooperation and identification of the role of young people in modern society. For the first time since 1948 the right to arrange the congress was trusted to Russia. AIESEC Congress consists of three platforms: International Leaders Congress. Global Youth Voice Conference and AIESEC Alumni Congress, bringing together young entrepreneurs and AIESEC alumni from various countries and territories for ten days of meetings and events held in one city. In 2012 the Congress agenda was full of events and topical public discussions, starting from World After 2020 Symposium to Culture Festival and Global Youth to Business and Business to Youth forums. At the Congress organizers’ invitation, Head of the IBLF Branch in Russia, Manager of Youth Business Russia Programme Boris Tkachenko took part in World After 2020 Symposium where he moderated the session devoted to the role of entrepreneurship in contemporary world and involvement of youth in the entrepreneurial activities.

Tkachenko also moderated and spoke on the education section within the framework of Global Youth Voice Conference devoted to the intersectoral partnership and shared the experience of implementation of partnership projects, giving his expert opinion and recommendations on the role of partnerships further developed by speakers from Microsoft and AIESEC.

The events of the 64th International Congress were attended by over 1,000 young leaders from 110 countries of the world. The key note presentations were translated online thanks to the Congress official website rus.ic2012.ru, gathering an overall audience of over 50,000 people in the world wide web, while the  Culture Festival bringing together all Congress participants in Sokolniki Park attracted more than 25 thousand visitors during the day of the event.
