The meeting of IBLF Russia International Advisory Council

On February 1, 2012, the meeting of IBLF Russia International Advisory Council was held with the participation of CEOs of Russian and international companies. The issues that were covered in the meeting included the report on IBLF Russia activities during the period of July 2010 – December 2011, key deliveries on the programmes “Improvement of Business Standards in Russia” and “Youth Business Russia”, as well as plans for 2012. Clare Melford, CEO of IBLF, reported on IBLF global agenda.

During the meeting, the members of IBLF Russia International Advisory Council welcomed the initiative to set up, within the framework of the programme “Improvement of Business Standards in Russia”, the working group with the purpose of improvement of public tender procedure and increase of transparency of public procurement. The initiative to set up the Working Group received the official support expressed by Andrey Sharonov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy, who asserted that the initiative was well-timed and the Government of Moscow was ready to support and to be actively involved in the Working Group activity.

The participants of the meeting expressed their ideas on IBLF potential activities and decided on further joint actions to implement the programmes.
