Youth Business Russia participates in global conference on youth entrepreneurship in Mexico City

Youth Business Russia (YBR) will be represented at a global conference on youth entrepreneurship, organised by Youth Business International, in Mexico City.

The YBI Global Forum brings together leaders of the global Youth Business International network for a week to promote and encourage youth entrepreneurship.

The YBI Global Forum, taking place fr om 19-23 September, brings together people from countries such as India, China, Russia, Brazil and Canada to share ideas and explore the latest developments in youth entrepreneurship. The event is themed Networking for Impact.

“Youth Business Russia participated actively in conference preparation and we are pleased to take part in it”, said Boris Tkachenko, Youth Business Russia Programme Manager, and Head of the IBLF Branch Office in Russia. “We are going not only to study experience of other countries but also to share latest developments in Russia”.

“Young entrepreneurs provide a vital part in the development of communities around the world,” said Andrew Devenport, CEO of Youth Business International. “By working with other like-minded organisations from around the world, the members of our network are providing more effective support to young people who want to start their own business.”

YBI holds its Global Forum every two years – this is the sixth such event. Previous Global Forums have taken place in Scotland, Hong Kong and Argentina.

The Global Forum will culminate in the YBI Entrepreneur of the Year awards dinner, wh ere four entrepreneurs from Hong Kong, India, Canada and Sri Lanka will compete to win the YBI Entrepreneur of the Year title.
