The 4th Webinar for Russian-speaking mentors of entrepreneurs in the frame of SOS Mentoring global initiative

On the 10th of June, Youth Business Russia and the Mentoring Institute delivered a webinar ‘Tools and techniques of business analysis during crisis period. Best practices’, in the framework of the SOS Mentoring global initiative. As it has become a tradition, mentors and coordinators working at the programmes implemented by the Mentoring Institute jointly with our partners in Russia, as well as mentors and programme coordinators from Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Mongolia participated at the webinar.

The webinar was conducted by Boris Tkachenko and Irina Gorelova.

At the webinar, the participants discussed

- Check list: how to weather this crisis. YBI best practices.

- The 3Cs Mike Pegg Model: clarifying the issue, creative support for the mentee, concrete results.

- Effectuation principles. Making decisions and acting when you can’t forecast the future.

Mentors tested the three approaches in groups basing on the case of a Family club “The Golden Cat” (“Золотая кошка”) managed by Evgeny and Ekaterina Ermatov from Voronezh. We hope that both mentors’ questions and recommendations will be helpful for the entrepreneurs from Voronezh who have also become mentors for budding entrepreneurs earlier this year.

The next two webinars for active mentors will be held soon.

The partners of the SOS Mentoring in Russia are Impact Hub Moscow, Our Future Foundation, Yugra Entrepreneurship Support Fund, “Ahead to Changes" Foundation (“Навстречу переменам”).
