The events on the agenda of the Days of Mentoring in Entrepreneurship were carried out jointly with the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics

Several events for students and young entrepreneurs were held at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics as part of the agenda of the Days of Mentoring in Entrepreneurship and under the auspices of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs.

Russian Youth Entrepreneurship Congress started on the 25th of November, 2015, together with Youth Entrepreneurship Exhibition “Made in Russia” and Expert Panel and live critical review of the projects of the Russian National Young Entrepreneur-2015 Finalists.

The events were organized by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, Russian Federal Centre for Youth Entrepreneurship Support, Plekhanov Russian University of Economics and the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Among the participants were finalists of the Russian National Young Entrepreneur-2015 competition, winners of the competition regional stage, members of the expert community, students and budding entrepreneurs, and representatives of SMB support organisations.

On the 26th of November, the programme was continued with active participation of IBLF Russia.

The seminar on “Standards and Methodology of Youth Business Development in Russia in 2016: Support Tools, Infrastructure” was carried out in the morning by the Federal Agency on Youth Affairs and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry supported by SME Bank and Youth Business Russia. The seminar was attended by the representatives of federal and local governmental agencies, NGOs and business associations, regional managers of “You Are Entrepreneur” programme, young entrepreneurs, Russian regional chambers of commerce and industry, mentoring in entrepreneurship experts.

The speakers were Artyom Davydov, Director of the Russian Federal Centre for Youth Entrepreneurship Support, Anna Palagina, Director of the Department of Business and Services, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Boris Tkachenko, Head of IBLF Russia. Budding entrepreneurs from Russian regions took active part at the seminar and shared their experience in communication with business support agencies and told about challenges and achievements.

The event was continued at the premises of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics with the seminar for young people on mentoring in entrepreneurship potential, organized by the Federal Agency on Youth Affairs, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and IBLF Russia. Among the seminar participants were young entrepreneurs who attended the Russian Youth Entrepreneurship Congress, and Youth Business Russia regional coordinators. The seminar was moderated by Boris Tkachenko, Head of IBLF Russia and Youth Business Russia Programme Director. The speakers were Irina Gorelova, YBR coordinator in Voronezh Region and mentoring expert, Lyudmila Romanova, YBR coordinator in Kaluga Region, Svetlana Bazhenova, YBR coordinator in Primorsky Territory, Dmitry Nekrasov, young entrepreneur from Voronezh and YBR participant, as well as foreign guests at the Days of Mentoring in Entrepreneurship: Pippa Murray, young British entrepreneur, Guillem Aris, Youth Business Spain Director and TL Viswanathan, reputable mentor from India. They shared their experience in introduction of mentoring in entrepreneurship, spoke about outcomes for mentors and mentees and answered budding entrepreneurs’ questions. In the afternoon, the round table “Development of Entrepreneurship Education in Russia: Key Issues” took place with active involvement of the Ministry of Education experts and Victor Sedov, Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurship.

The round table was organized by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs and Plekhanov Russian University of Economics. The round table was attended by the representatives of Moscow and other regional higher educational institutions, NGOs and business associations, Russian regional chambers of commerce and industry, business educational institutionss, regional managers of “You Are Entrepreneur” programme, budding and experienced entrepreneurs. The participants discussed entrepreneurial education status at universities and reported on the educational programmes performance.

The day was crowned with awarding the winners of the Russian National Young Entrepreneur-2015 competition. Two YBR members from Rostov Region were awarded in the framework of the competition: Olga Koltunova received the audience favorite prize, and Maxim Oleynikov was announced the winner in Innovation Business category. At the same time, Evgeny Kulik, entrepreneur from Rostov and mentor for Maxim, was announced the EY Entrepreneur of the Year winner in Industrial Production category.
